In order to fulfill its environmental responsibilities, it invites Distributors, traders and end users of the refrigerant gases sold by the company to know the proper management of these gases, conditioning of temporary collection points for the empty containers of said gases and the management and disposal of waste (containers and waste gas of refrigerant gas).
LITO SA, is a company dedicated to the reduction, management and disposal of special and hazardous waste. It has the file DM- 07-03-655, Resolution 056 of 2004 Enlargement Resolution 4147 of 2007, for which they were granted an environmental license for the exploded and storage Handling of PCBs and light bulbs of Mercury and Sodium. Residues of batteries, batteries and elements of Cadmium – Nickel, Lithium, Lead, Alkaline batteries, electronic waste and ODS (Ozone Depleting Substances).

2. En caso de emergencias
The procedures to be followed in the event of a leakage of the refrigerant gas must be
|Identify the substance and evaluate the incident.||Evaluate the area.|
Locate the source of the leak
Look for the label of the dangerous substance to identify content and risks
Resort to Safety Data Sheets
Identify possible risks in the course of the leak, such as materials, equipment and workers
Write down everything observed, to communicate it.
Try to stop the spill or leak, only if it can be done safely.
Avoid direct contact with the substance, through the use of PPE.
|Notify the person in charge of the warehouse at the time||Inform those in charge of the event, trying to provide the greatest amount of information, to proceed with decision making.|
If necessary, resort to external advice.
|Secure the area||Alert others to the spill and prevent them from approaching.|
Ventilate the area
Lace up with barriers, surrounding the contaminated area
Surround with absorbent materials equipment or materials
Turn off all equipment or source of ignition
Have some means of fire extinguishing
|Clean the affected area||Wash the contaminated area with water, in case there is no contraindication.|
Signal the containers where the waste is deposited. All collected products must be treated as hazardous waste.
|Decontaminate equipment and personnel||Have a decontamination zone|
Wash used equipment and clothing
People involved in decontamination should bathe.
NOTA: The use of personal protective elements during the handling of refrigerant gases is important. According to safety data sheets, personnel must have tight safety glasses, apron, waterproof gloves, protection of arms and masks.
